Heather D. Steel Dembrowski, 50, of Ewing passed away Wednesday at her home. Born in Trenton, she was a lifelong area resident. She was an RN with Capital Health System for 21 years. Heather was a graduate of Ewing High School – Class of 1976, Helene Fuld School of Nursing where she received her RN and earned her AS in Nursing from Mercer County Community College. Heather was active in Lore Elementary, Fisher Middle School and Ewing High Parents Associations. Daughter of the late Charles D. and Florence Gebhardt Steel, she is survived by her husband of 29 years, Fred J. Dembrowski of Ewing; her daughters, Alyssa D. and Kirsten N. both at home; her sister and brother-in-law, Bonnie S. and Richard P. Cherny of Ewing; her brother, Billy Steel of New York City; also, nieces and nephews including, Bryan S. and his wife Michelle Cherny and Jillian Cherny; her grand nephew, Chase Cherny. Funeral service will be held at Covenant Presbyterian Church, 471 Parkway Ave., Ewing on Tuesday at 11am. The family will receive friends on Monday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9pm at the M. William Murphy Funeral Home 935 Parkway Ave. Ewing. Cremation will be private and at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions in her name may be made to: Susan G.
