Rita P. Burkhead, 80, of Lawrenceville passed away Wednesday at the Statesman Nursing Home, Levittown, PA.
Born in Trenton, she was a lifelong resident.
Mrs. Burkhead was a teller in area banks. She was a graduate of Cathedral High School where she was voted “most beautiful girl” of her class.
She is survived by her husband, Kenneth L. Burkhead; her son and daughter-in-law, William B. and Lynette Sutterlin of Mercerville and his father, William Sutterlin; 3 grandchildren, Jeffrey, Mark and Laura; her step-children, Kenneth J. and Mary Burkhead of Carversville, PA, Michael and Peggy Burkhead of Honesdale, PA, Carol (the late Dennis) Burkhead of Langhorne, PA, Elizabeth M. Burkhead of CA and Patricia M. Burkhead of Levittown, PA. and their families.
Funeral service will be Monday 11am at the M. William Murphy Funeral Home, 1863 Hamilton Ave. Entombment will be in Greenwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10am until time of service at the funeral home.
