Robert B. Davis, Jr., of Ewing passed away Thursday at RWJUH @ Hamilton.

Born in Norristown, PA, he was a Ewing resident for well over 30 years.

Mr. Davis was the Director of Recreation at The College of New Jersey where he retired after 28 years of service.

A 1963 graduate of Upper Merion High School, he went on to earn his BS and Masters in Recreation from Illinois State University.

He was a Marine veteran of the Vietnam War, and was named Honor Recruit during basic training.

Son of the late Robert B. Davis, Jr., brother of the late Glenn R. and Gene Davis, he is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Nicole M. and Michael F. Frame of Long Branch; Nicole’s mother, Peggy Wells; his son, Chad Burton Davis of Ewing; Chad’s mother, Annmarie Keefe; his granddaughter, McKenna Q. Frame; his mother, Eleanor Davis; 3 brothers and sisters-in-law, Ronald Davis, Keith and Gail Davis, Joseph and Sharon Davis, and Karen Davis; also many nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held Sunday at 5:30pm at the M. William Murphy Funeral Home, 935 Parkway Ave., Ewing. Viewing hours will be 1:30pm until the time of service at the funeral home.
