Bessie M. (DiLisa) Cannon
Bessie M. (DiLisa) Cannon, 93, of Robbinsville, passed away on Monday December 21, 2009 at home.

Born in Bristol, PA., and formerly of Trenton, where she spent most of her life, Bessie resided in Robbinsville for the past 10 years.

She was a presser for Doryann Sportswear in Trenton and retired after 10 years of service.

Bessie was a member of the Ladies Garment Workers Union, and she enjoyed trips to Atlantic City.

Daughter of the late Anthony and Amelia Sorchelli DiLisa, wife of the late James J. Cannon Sr., grandmother of the late Richard Cannon and Kevin Vannatta, sister of the late Thomas DiLisa and Ann Brogal, she is survived by two daughters and one son-in-law, Dolores and James Urie of Lady Lake, FL., Kathleen Cannon of Robbinsville, one son and daughter-in-law, James J. and Elizabeth Cannon Jr. of Hamilton, five grandchildren David, Susan, Jill, Linda, and Mark, five great grandchildren, three step grandchildren, six step great grandchildren, one sister, Ida (Tillie) Azzaro of Hamilton, two brothers and two sisters-in-law, John and Delores DiLisa of Trenton, Anthony and Helene DiLisa of Santa Anna, CA., and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Funeral services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
Arrangements are by the M. William Murphy Funeral Home 1863 Hamilton Ave. Hamilton.
