Stephen A. Wilson, 56, of Yardville passed away Easter Sunday after a long and courageous battle with cancer at Compassionate Care Hospice - St. Frances.

A graduate of Hamilton High West, he also graduated from trade school with an electrical degree. He served his apprenticeship at Princeton University (PPL) before having the privilege of becoming a member of the IBEW Local 269 of Hamilton, where he worked for the last 12 years.

Stephen loved all sports but bowling was his passion. He won many tournaments and awards. When active, his average score was over 200 and bowled many 300 games. Stephen also had the privilege of membership to the Hamilton Elks, where he socialized often.

Preceded in death by his mother, Eileen M. (Bush) Wilson, he is survived by his father, Milton A. and stepmother, Marion (Roo Roo) Wilson of Robbinsville; his sister, Nancy M. Schaaf and husband Robert of Hamilton; stepbrother, Donald Cornish and his wife Kathy of Winter Springs, FL, also many aunts, uncles and cousins.

We, the family, would like to extend a special “Thank You” to Stephen’s uncle, David Wilson and Stephen’s cousin, Bob Kennedy for all their help and support.

The family will receive visitors on Saturday, April 6th from 9am until 12noon at the M. William Murphy Funeral Home, 1863 Hamilton Ave., Hamilton.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions should be made to either the Compassionate Care Hospice Foundation, 11 Independence Way, Newark, DE 19713 or Cancer Center of America c/o gateway for Cancer Research, 1336 Basswood Rd., Schaumburg, IL 60173 www.gatewayforcancerresearch.org.
