Patricia G. Volk
Patricia G. Volk, 77, of Hamilton, passed away suddenly on Saturday April 20, 2013 at home.
Born in Trenton, Patricia was a life long Trenton-Hamilton resident.
When her children were young she was a homemaker, in her later years she was an office assistant for various doctors in the Hamilton area for over 40 years.
She was an active member of Our Lady of Sorrows – St. Anthony’s Parish.
Patricia was a graduate of St. Anthony’s Grammar School, and Cathedral High School - Class of 1953. She was an avid bowler and bowled every Wednesday afternoon with the Ladies Coffee League at Hamilton Bowling Lanes. She enjoyed going to the events at Kuser Village in Kuser Park, especially the Retrospective music nights hosted by Tom Glover. But what she enjoyed most of all, was attending her grand children's sporting events.
Daughter of the late Stanley and Elizabeth Geisguth Kramer, wife of the late W. Alan Volk, she is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Kenneth A. and Paige Volk of Iowa City, Iowa; Geraud A. and Kelly Volk of Toms River, N.J.; five grandchildren, Brittany, Allison, Matthew, Kelsey, and Graeme; two sisters, Rita Mycock of Robbinsville and Marilyn Spinelli of Waltham, Mass.; also, many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Funeral will be held on Friday at 8:15 a.m. at the M. William Murphy Funeral Home 1863 Hamilton Ave. in Hamilton. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m.at St. Anthony’s Church, S. Olden Ave. in Hamilton. Burial will be in Our Lady of Lourdes Cemetery, Cedar Lane in Hamilton. Calling hours will be on Thursday from 6 – 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
