Rose M. Callahan
Rose M. Callahan, 87, of Yardville, passed away on Saturday, May 11, 2013 at Compassionate Care Hospice at St. Francis in Trenton with her loving family by her side.
Born in Trenton, Rose was a lifelong area resident.
She was a homemaker and a sales associate for Steinel’s Pharmacy in Trenton for many years. Rose was a member of St. Vincent dePaul Church, and Hamilton Elks Lodge #2262.
She enjoyed cooking, and spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Daughter of the late Joseph and Mary Rigiliano Chisano, wife of the late Hugh F. Callahan, sister of the late Nicholas, John, and Joseph Chisano, Jennie Bucci, Elizabeth Gagliardi, and Ann Scarpaci, she is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Jeffrey J. and Marjorie A. Callahan of Columbus; Mark A. and Diane B. Callahan of Chesterfield; one daughter and son-in-law, Cathy A. and Ralph C. Puca of Columbus; seven grandchildren Adam, Shannon and fiancé Matthew, Matthew, Ian, Chelsea, Courtney, and Olivia; one sister-in-law, Dolores “Dolly” Neuman of Hamilton; many nieces, nephews, cousin, friends, and her special caregivers, Betty Doschyk and Cyndy Kornfeld.
Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. at St. Vincent dePaul Church 555 Yardville-Allentown Rd., Yardville, N.J. 08620. Entombment was in St. Mary’s Mausoleum, Cedar Lane in Hamilton. Calling hours were Wednesday morning from 8:30 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. at the M. William Murphy Funeral Home 1863 Hamilton Ave. in Hamilton.
