Joseph J. Martin
Joseph J. Martin, 89, of Hamilton passed away Saturday at RWJUH at Hamilton.
Born in Trenton, he was a lifelong area resident.

He retired as a captain with the Trenton Fire Department after a 35 year career and worked at Jammer Door for many years.

Mr. Martin was a member of FMBA Local 6; the Police & Fireman Retirement Club of NJ and honorably served in the US Navy during WWII.

He enjoyed playing golf and traveling with his family.

Son of the late Joseph J. and Elsie Dale Martin, he is survived by his wife, Margaret E. Ondo Martin; his daughter and son-in-law, Christine E. and John Kish of Hamilton; his son and daughter-in-law, Bob and Nancy Martin of Bordentown; his 3 grandchildren, Brian and wife Denise Kish, Kristin and husband Michael McTamney and Lindsey Martin; his great granddaughter, Kylie McTamney; his sister, Dolores McCarty of Hamilton and nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 8:45 until 10:15am at the M. William Murphy Funeral Home, 1863 Hamilton Ave., Hamilton. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Anthony’s Church, 626 So. Olden Ave. at 11am. Burial with military honors will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
