James J. Yeager
James J. Yeager, 83, of Ewing, passed away on Sunday August 11, 2013, after a long illness at his daughter’s home in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Born in Trenton, he worked for the New Jersey Department of Transportation for 32 years before retiring to Cape Coral, FL.
James was a veteran of the United States Marines serving in the Korean War.
Son of the late James and Caroline Hannawacker Yeager, brother of the late Robert Yeager, and Catherine Meier, he is survived by his wife of 61 years, Leona Little Yeager; daughter, Nancy L. Bedard and Kim Miller of North Carolina, with whom he resided; two sons, James J. Yeager III and wife June of Florida; Steven R. Yeager and wife Kathryn of of North Carolina; sister, Carolyn Hawkes of Hamilton; seven grandchildren Stacie, Amy, Jennifer, Nicole, Matthew, Karolyn, of North Carolina; and Steven of Pennsylvania; eleven great grandchildren Kera, Jaques, Nicholas, Tyzera, Jayden, Tristen, Kiara, Anthony, Ashton, Kamiya, and Trenton; and several nieces, nephews, friends, and his beloved cat, Bingo.
Funeral services were private and at the convenience of the family.
