John Jeremias



John Jeremias, 86, of Hamilton, passed away peacefully at home on Friday September 13, 2013.

Born in New Brunswick, NJ, John was a life long Trenton Hamilton resident.

He was Owner/Operator of the Olde Coach Restaurant in Downtown Trenton for many years.

A graduate of Trenton High School, he was a member of St. George Greek Orthodox Church, AHEPA, and the American Legion Post #93. He had many friends at the Evergreen Estate with whom he enjoyed playing bocce, and sharing other social events. John enjoyed the summers at the Jersey Shore with his family, and after his retirement, he enjoyed the winters in Florida.

Son of the late George and Victoria Blazakis Jeremias, brother of the late Jenny Jeremias, George, Alex, and Micky Degree. He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years Christine Chrambanis Jeremias of Hamilton, a son and daughter-in-law, George J. Jeremias and Sue Lomax of Middletown, N.J.; two daughters and sons-in-law, MaryAnn and Reice Altomare of Yardley, PA.; Victoria and Edward Wells of Howell, N.J.; three grandchildren Christy and Carrie Altomare, John Wells, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Funeral services will be on Tuesday 11:00 a.m. at St. George Greek Orthodox Church 1200 Klockner Rd., Hamilton, N.J. 08619.

Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery.

Calling hours will be Tuesday morning from 9:00 a.m. until time of services at the church.

Arrangements are by the M. William Murphy Funeral Home 1863 Hamilton Ave. in Hamilton.

In lieu of flowers, donations in John’s memory may be made to St. George Greek Orthodox Church, or to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research, Grand Central Station, P.O. Box 4777, New York, New York 10163 4777.
