John A. Catana
John A. Catana, 82, passed away peacefully with his family at his side on October 4, 2013 at Virtua Hospital in Mt. Holly, NJ.
John was a lifelong Ewing resident before moving to Columbus 12 years ago.
John was employed for 32 years at Cointreau in Pennington, and later by Ewing Township Recreation and Grounds Dept., retiring in 1996.
John loved to spend time with his family and friends at his house in Mystic Islands where he enjoyed his favorite pastime, fluke fishing. More recently, he enjoyed trips to Atlantic City and PARX Casino.
Son of the late Anthony and Elizabeth Bodnar Catana, he is survived by his wife of 54 years, Barbara (Moon) Catana; his daughter and son-in-law, Lynn and Warren Schuster; his two sons, Tim and Glenn; and his granddaughter, Colleen Ryan Barringer.
The family will receive friends on Monday at the M. William Murphy Funeral Home, 935 Parkway Ave., Ewing from 9:30AM. The funeral service will begin at 11AM. Burial will follow in Princeton Memorial Park, Robbinsville.
The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses in the Critical Care Unit at Virtua Hospital for their dedication and care of John during his brief illness.
