Mary Steckel
Mary Steckel, 89, of Hamilton passed away Monday at RWJUH at Hamilton.

Born and raised in Bordentown City, she was a graduate of St. Mary’s School, Bordentown and attended Cathedral High School in Trenton.

Prior to her marriage, she worked at various places including Eastern Aircraft in Ewing. In 1974, Mary began working at Morris Hall in Lawrenceville, retiring with more than 25 years of service.

Mary’s Catholic faith was most important to her and this she passed on to her children.

Daughter of the late John P. and Marie Ryan McHale, wife of the late Robert T. Steckel, mother of the late Robert L. Steckel, sister of the late Harry and John T. McHale, she is survived by a daughter, Anne Marie and her husband Vincent Anepete of Robbinsville; 4 sons, Thomas Steckel of Hamilton, with whom she resided, Michael E. Steckel of Robbinsville, Dennis P. Steckel and his wife Grace of Hamilton and James R. Steckel and his wife Pauline of Denver, CO; 6 grandchildren, Dominic Anepete, Jessica Anepete Chianese and her husband Thomas, Dean, Nikkole, Amanda and James Steckel; 3 great grand children, Julia and Ava Chianese and Jacob Anepete; also, many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday at 9:30 AM at St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church, 4620 Nottingham Way, Hamilton Square NJ 08690. Calling hours will be Friday from 5 - 8:00PM and Saturday from 8-8:30 AM at the M. William Murphy Funeral Home, 1863 Hamilton Ave. Hamilton, NJ 08619. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers donations in Mary’s memory may be made to St. Gregory the Great Church.
