Margaret R. Goeke
Margaret R. Goeke, 84, died peacefully Monday night at Arcadia Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Hamilton.
Born in Hamilton, Marge was a lifetime area resident. She was a graduate of Cathedral High School in Trenton, class of 1947. Marge pursued a career in sales, working several years at Nevius Voorhees in Trenton and Allen’s Children Shop in Princeton. In her youth, Marge was an active volunteer with the deaf community in Mercer Hospital and Trenton. She was one who could talk forever on life and politics.
The third youngest of fourteen children, of the late John and Mary Goeke, sister of the late John, Ray, Robert, Anthony all of Trenton, Gerard of Titusville, Joseph of Princeton, Marie of West Trenton, Helen Foley of Toms River, Winifred Faley of Titusville, Agnes Thibodeau of Hamilton, and Dorothy Geller of Sea Girt, Marge is survived by her sister, Theresa Goeke of Pennington; brother and two sisters-in-law, Francis and Linda Goeke of Trenton, and Ellen Marie Goeke of Titusville; several cousins, and a much beloved "Auntie" to several nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews, great grandnieces and great grandnephews, who knew her as the amazing lady that never missed a birthday, and could share with you all the details of every cousin.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, 11:00 A.M. at Church of the Blessed Sacrament – Our Lady of the Divine Shepherd Church, 716 Bellevue Ave., Trenton, N.J. 08618, in Trenton. Interment will be private. Calling hours will be at the church on Saturday morning from 10:00 a.m. until the time of mass.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Church of the Blessed Sacrament – Our Lady of the Divine Shepherd Church (CBS-OLDS), 716 Bellevue Avenue, Trenton, N.J. 08618.
