Paul J. Howard
Paul J. Howard, 81, of Ewing passed away Sunday at his home.
Born in Trenton, he was a lifelong area resident.
Mr. Howard was an analyst with the State of New Jersey – Community Affairs, and previously with the Department of Transportation, retiring in 1999 with over 35 years of service.
A 1951 graduate of Trenton High School and an Army veteran, he enjoyed traveling, bowling and playing golf. Mr. Howard was an avid reader and a long time usher at Incarnation Church.
Son of the late James and Mary Bowden Howard and brother of the late James and Richard Howard, he is survived by his wife of 48 years, Eileen F. (Dillon) Howard; his son and daughter-in-law, Kevin F. and Andrea Howard of Media, PA; his daughter and son-in-law, Maggie and Chris Shoplock of Ewing; 4 grandchildren, Jack and Luke Shoplock, and Diana and Katherine Howard; his niece, Su Nix and her husband Tom of Hopewell Twp.
The family will receive visitors on Thursday from 6 – 8pm and Friday from 8:30 - 9:30am at the M. William Murphy Funeral Home, 935 Parkway Ave., Ewing.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday at 10am in Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, 137 West Upper Ferry Road, West Trenton.
Entombment will follow in the Veterans Mausoleum in Greenwood Cemetery.
