Joseph Paterra, 90, of Ewing, passed away on Thursday, January 2, 2014 at Brandywine Senior Living in Pennington.
Born in Trenton, Joseph was a lifelong area resident.
Joseph was a press operator for Friction Corp. in Trenton, where he retired after many years of service. He was a WWII Veteran of the United States Army, and he enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Son of the late Antonino and Maria A. Paterra, brother of the late Jennie Fragale and Mary Stefenelli, he is survived by a brother, Damiano “Ray” Paterra of Ewing; two sisters, Louise Hohmann of Ewing; and Ann Dickovitch of Tennessee; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday at 10:00 A.M. at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, 137 West Upper Ferry Rd., W. Trenton.
Entombment will be in St. Mary’s Mausoleum, Cedar Lane in Hamilton.
Calling hours will be Wednesday morning from 9:00 A.M. until time of mass at the church. There will be no calling hours at the funeral home.
Arrangements are by the M. William Murphy Funeral Home 935 Parkway Ave., Ewing.
Donations may be made in Joseph’s memory to a charity of the donors choice.
