John Frierson, Jr.
John Frierson, Jr., 72, of Hamilton passed away Tuesday at Capital Health System – Hopewell.
Born in Jersey City, he has lived in Hamilton for the past 22 years.
Mr. Frierson was in auto body repair for over 35 years. He began his career in Jersey City and retired in Trenton. More recently, he was employed by Allentown, Inc. for several years.
Son of the late Johnny Frierson and Frances Cole, brother of the late Lillie Frierson and Sharon Richardson and grandfather of the late Brandon Frierson, he is survived by his wife of 22 years, Carolyn S. Reynolds; his daughter, Cerebrena Frierson; 2 sons, John Cyril Frierson and Barry Parker; several grandchildren; 2 sisters, Frances Charles and Patricia Frierson; 2 brothers, Troy and Wayne Washington; his former wife, Willy Davis; and an uncle, aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be Saturday 9am at the M. William Murphy Funeral Home, 1863 Hamilton Ave. Burial will follow in the Bayview Cemetery, Jersey City, NJ. Visiting hours will be Friday from 5 until 8pm at the funeral home.
