Mary Ross "Pete" Bixby
Mary Ross "Pete" Bixby passed away on February 1st, at the age of 93, with her family at her side.

Daughter of the late Martin L. and Mary Ross and widow of Donald T. Bixby, Mary is survived by her son, D. Thomas and wife, Patti of Dataw Island, SC; her daughter, Barbara and husband Paul Ernst of Hamilton Square, NJ; grandson, Paul Ernst and wife Aja, grandson, Christopher of NYC and granddaughter, Kayla of California. She was predeceased by her grandson, Morgan Bixby.

Mary graduated from Trenton High School and attended Heinbach's Business School. She served as President of the Incarnation PTA and Diocesan Treasurer. Her community service included being a member of the Board of Directors, Mercer Unit Association for Retarded Children; Women's Committee Greater Trenton Symphony; a six year term as Recreation Commissioner for Ewing Twp.; President of the Ewing Women's Club; President of the Women's Service Board St. Lawrence Rehab Center and member of the Advisory Board St. Francis Hospital.

Mary served the New Jersey State Federation of Women's Clubs in many district and state positions, including State President 1972-1974. Mary was Treasurer of the General Federation of Women's Clubs, their representative to the United Nations and member of the State and National Parliamentarian Assoc.

Mary was a long time member of the Church of St. Ann and the Rosary Altar Society. She was a member of the Trenton Country Club and its 18 holers golf group, the Trenton Club, and Fox Fire Country Club and Vineyards Country Club in Naples Fl.

"Pete" was honored as a Paul Harris Fellows of Trenton Rotary International.

Calling hours are Wednesday from 4 until 7pm at the M. William Murphy Funeral Home, 935 Parkway Ave, Ewing. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday at 10AM at Church of St. Ann. Burial will follow in the Ewing Church Cemetery.
