Leonard P. Polo, Sr.
Leonard P. Polo, Sr., 72, of Hamilton passed away at his home on Wednesday.
Born in Trenton, he was a lifelong area resident.
Mr. Polo retired in 2003 as a foreman with Homasote Company in Ewing after a 42 year career.
He was a graduate of Trenton High School – Class of 1961 and attended Rider College. Mr. Polo was a proud and active member of the Knight of Columbus, Hamilton Council 6213; an avid golfer, bowler, fisherman, and traveler; and a dedicated NY Yankee and NY Giant fan.
Mr. Polo was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. The greatest joy in his life was spending time and traveling with his family.
Son of the late Daniel and Mary Miele Polo, grandfather of the late Kaela Mary Badessa and son-in-law of the late John and Ethel Jones, he is survived by his wife of 37 years, Patricia Polo; his three children, Lisa (Chet) Naples of Lambertville, Leonard P. (Holly) Polo, Jr. of Hamilton, and Kimberly (Samuel) Badessa of Lambertville; 4 grandchildren, Matthew Naples, Lauryn Polo, Kaitlyn Polo and Skyler Badessa; 2 sisters, Lucille (John) Lugo of Hamilton and Nancy (Tony) Moulo of Jupiter, FL; brother-in-law, John (Kathleen) Jones of Georgetown, ME; 4 nephews, Tony Moulo, Daniel Moulo, Robert Jones and Jeffrey Jones.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 9 until 11AM at the M. William Murphy Funeral Home, 1863 Hamilton Ave. Funeral service will commence at 11AM. Burial will follow in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Hamilton.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in his name may be made to the K of C Hamilton Council 6213, 1451 Klockner Rd., Hamilton, NJ 08619.
