Georgia Fokides, of Hamilton, passed away suddenly in the arms of Jesus on Wednesday, April 9, 2014 at St. Mary’s Medical Center in Langhorne, PA.
Born in Carthage, NY, Georgia lived in Hamilton Township for 56 years, most recently moved to the Brunswick at Attleboro in Langhorne, PA.
She was a clerk for the State of New Jersey, Department of Taxation, where she retired after 25 years of service.
Georgia was a member of St. George Greek Orthodox Church, and made many friends at The Brunswick at Attleboro and enjoyed the activities. Her favorite activities were poke Reno and bingo, and she loved to read and spend time with her grandchildren and great granddaughter.
She is daughter of the late Simeon and Avril Servatas Rochonchou, grandmother of the late Corey Wayne Fokides, sister of the late Anne Rochonchou, Margaret Theodoris, and sister-in-law of the late Anthony Vrettos, she is survived by a son, James Gregory Fokides of Bordentown; two daughters and sons-in-law, Christine and William Burd of Bensalem, PA; Maria and Dino Dettorre of Robbinsville; her six precious grandchildren, Andrew, Laura, Alyssa and fiancée William Seitz, Alexander, Alaina, Melanie and her cherished great- granddaughter Jaylyn; a brother and sister-in-law, James and Catina Rochonchou of Yardville; a sister, Artemis Vrettos of Hamilton; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Funeral services will be held on Monday 1:30 p.m. at St. George Greek Orthodox Church 1200 Klockner Rd., Hamilton, NJ 08619.
Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Hamilton.
Calling hours will be Monday from 12:30 p.m. until time of services at the church. There will be no calling hours at the funeral home.
