Michelangela "Mamie" Palumbo Schino
Michelangela "Mamie" Palumbo Schino, 88, of West Trenton passed away Saturday at Capital Health Systems – Hopewell Campus.
Born in Rochester, NY, she has been a Trenton area resident since age 7.
Mrs. Schino was an employee of General Motors in Ewing for more than 30years before retiring in the early 1990s.
She enjoyed bingo and trips to Atlantic City with the Ewing Twp. Senior Citizens.
Daughter of the late Coligero and Grazia Morganti Palumbo, wife of the late Mariano J. “Max” Schino, sister of the late Onofrio (Fred) Palumbo, Antoinette Lapera, Salvatrice Armenti, Jack Palumbo and Grace Rasch, she is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, David and Delores Olexa Schino of Columbus; her grandson, Johnathan D. Schino of Columbus; her brother and sister-in-law, Charles and Virginia Palumbo; her sisters-in-law, Margaret Babecki and Anna Schino, and many loving nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours will be Thursday from 8 until 9:45am at the M. William Murphy Funeral Home, 935 Parkway Ave., Ewing.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30am at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, 137 W. Upper Ferry Rd., West Trenton.
Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in her name may be made to the Fox Chase Cancer Center, 333 Cottman Ave, Phila., PA 19111.
