Helen M. Lansing
Helen M. Lansing, 88, of Ewing, passed away on Monday, April 21, 2014 at Capital Health Medical Center – Hopewell.
Born in Philadelphia, PA., Helen was a lifelong Ewing area resident.
She was a homemaker, and in recent years, was a cafeteria aid for the Ewing Township Board of Education (Lore School) for many years.
Helen was a member of Incarnation-St. James Parish, its Altar Rosary Society, and Past President of the P.T.A.; the Sandpiper Club; she enjoyed reading, and the family vacations at Long Beach Island. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
Daughter of the late Samuel and Minnie Hayes Scrivener, wife of the late Donald A. Lansing, and sister of the late Frances Spencer, she is survived by three daughters and two sons-in-law, Diane and John Stemler of Ewing Twp., Katherine and David Friel of Ewing Twp., Barbara Lansing of Newtown, PA.; a son, Donald M. Lansing, and his significant other, Sunshine; a very special family friend, Dawn Paralis; five grandchildren, Matthew Gering (Angela), Benjamin Gering (Jennifer), Timothy Friel (Lisa), Megan Friel, and Kendra Lansing; seven great grandchildren, Jason, Ryder, Gerise, Liam, McKenna, Brielle, and Sean, and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Funeral will be held on Friday at 8:45 a.m. at the M. William Murphy Funeral Home 935 Parkway Ave. in Ewing.
Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated at 10:00 a.m. at Incarnation Church 1545 Pennington Rd., Ewing.
Burial will be in Our Lady of Lourdes Cemetery, Hamilton.
Calling hours will be Thursday evening from 6 – 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
