Sybilla (Billie) Chatten
Sybilla (Billie) Chatten, 88, passed away on Tuesday, May 6, 2014 at home in Janesville, WI.
Born in Lewistown, PA, Billie resided most of her life in the Trenton area before moving to Wisconsin.
She was a waitress for many years and retired from Freddie's Tavern in West Trenton 18 years ago.
Mrs. Chatten loved to golf, bowl, cross-stitch and do word search. She also enjoyed trips to the casinos. Her greatest enjoyment came from spending time with her family.
Daughter of the late Lewis and Jessie Grover, wife of the late Walter (Brud) Chatten, mother of the late Patricia Housel, grandmother of the late Nicole Buqter and sister of the late Lucy Dolina, she is survived by three daughters and a son-in-law, Ann and Fred Collender of Columbus, NJ, Linda Dubinski (with whom she lived) of Janesville, WI, and Nancy Wyckoff of Pittsburgh, PA; 9 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; her sister, Emily Snook of Findlay, OH; and several nieces, nephews and friends.
The family will receive friends on Monday from 10am until 12noon at the M. William Murphy Funeral Home, 935 Parkway Ave., Ewing. The funeral service will begin at 12noon. Burial will follow in the Ewing Church Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in her name may be made to the Home Health United Hospice, 2802 Walton Commons West, Madison, WI 53718.
