Rita Anne Ranke
Rita Anne Ranke, 75, of Ewing Township entered the arms of the Lord in her home surrounded by her loving family on Thursday, May 15, 2014.

Born and raised in Trenton, Rita Anne was a graduate of the Trenton High School Class of 1956. She later moved to Ewing Township in 1963 where she and her husband would begin their highly anticipated family.

Rita Anne started her professional career in 1957 as a lab technician with William McKinley Memorial Hospital upon receiving her certification in Medical Technology. She later went on to work as a teacher’s assistant for the Ewing Township School District. In her later years Rita Anne served as a dedicated licensed Real Estate Agent, retiring 15 years ago from Prudential Fox & Roach Realtors. Despite her many professional achievements Rita Anne would always consider her most rewarding years those spent raising her three children.
Rita Anne was a life long member of Saint Joachim’s Church where she received her Sacraments including marrying her husband of 54 years and was also a member of the Ewing Township Women’s Club for the past 10 years.

Daughter of the late Dominic and Dorothy F. Turano Pone, she is the beloved wife to Edward A. Ranke, Jr., and devoted mother to her daughter Stacie Nissen and husband Paul, her son Edward A. Ranke, III, and wife Renee, her son Robert Ranke and wife Kim, loving grandmother to her six grandchildren-Matthew Nissen and wife Laura, Dana Nissen and fiancée James Nobilio, Courtney Conner, Rachel, Jacob and Samantha Ranke. She is also survived by her “sister” Dorothy Forconi; her mother-in-law, Edna Ranke; her brother-in-law, William A. Ranke and wife Sue; and many loving cousins and predeceased by her “sister” Jean Turano.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 6–9pm and Wednesday from 9:00–9:45am at the M. William Murphy Funeral Home, 935 Parkway Avenue, Ewing Township. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday 10:30am at the Church of the Incarnation, 1545 Pennington Road, Ewing Township. Burial will follow in Our Lady of Lourdes Cemetery, Hamilton, NJ.
