Evelyn Cann, 72, of Levittown, PA, passed away on Wednesday, June 4, 2014 at St. Mary’s Medical Center in Langhorne,PA.
Born in Hazleton, PA, and formerly of Ewing, NJ, Evelyn resided most of her life in the Levittown, PA area.
She was a graduate of Trenton Junior College, where she received her degree. Evelyn worked as an X-Ray Technician for US Steel Fairless Works in Fairless Hills, PA, and on the assembly line for General Motors Fisher Guide in Ewing, for many years of service.
Evelyn was a consummate caretaker of her family and friends. She was the most thoughtful person who kept lists on the smallest details on everyone she loved. She was a friend to everyone and all strangers, always thinking of the other person, not wanting to reflect on herself.
Daughter of the late Joseph Thomas and Mary Thomas Wereski, she is survived by her sister, Lorraine Marra of Lawrenceville; three nieces, Deborah Vieau (Lance) of Kerrville, TX; Catherine Herrington of Estero, FL; Lorraine Ortiz (Tony) of Old Tappan, NJ; five great nephews, Anthony, Steven, David, and Mark Ortiz, and Stanley Vieau; one great niece, Sandra Abernathy; and many friends.
Graveside services will be held on Saturday 11:00 a.m. at Ewing Cemetery, Scotch Rd. in Ewing.
There will be no calling hours.
