Ronald W. Stoop, Sr.
Ronald W. Stoop, Sr., 71, of Ewing, entered the presence of his Lord on Friday July 4, 2014 at Capital Health Medical Center – Hopewell.
Born in Trenton, Ron was a life long area resident.
He was a machine operator for Coca-Cola Company in Hightstown, and Homasote Company in Ewing, where he retired after many years. After his retirement, Ron was a crossing guard for the Ewing Township School District.
An avid fisherman and bowler , Ron was a member of the Colonial Fire Company, the Central Baptist Church, where he served as an usher/greeter.
Son of the late Lester and Sadie Mae Fry Stoop, Sr., father of the late Ronald W. Stoop, Jr., he is survived by his wife of 51 years, Barbara A. Babbitt Stoop of Ewing; a daughter, Beth A. Farrah of Ewing; five grandchildren, three great grandchildren, a sister, Barbara Bade of Hamilton, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was also predeceased by six siblings.
Funeral will be held on Thursday 10:15 a.m. at the M. William Murphy Funeral Home 935 Parkway Ave. in Ewing. Service will be 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home officiated by the Rev. Richard Gay, pastor of Central Baptist Church.
Calling hours will be Wednesday evening from 6 – 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
