Frank P. Sferruzzo, Jr.
Frank P. Sferruzzo, Jr., 69, passed away early Thursday morning at Capital Health in Trenton.
Born in Garfield, NJ, he was a resident of Trenton for almost 45 years.
Mr. Sferruzzo graduated from what was then called Trenton State College with a BS in Psychology and a minor in Photography. A Vietnam Veteran, he worked as a probation officer for both Mercer County and the State of New Jersey for well over three decades before eventually retiring.
Son of the late Frank P. Sferruzzo, Sr. and Julia Szabo Sferruzzo of Garfield, he is survived by his wife, Rebecca Sferruzzo of Trenton; daughter, Jennifer Hopwood and her husband Scott Hopwood with their son, Hunter Hopwood of Lexington Park, MD; daughter, Michelle Sferruzzo of Trenton; son, Frank P. Sferruzzo, III of Trenton; daughter, Jane Heinle and her husband Loren Heinle with their two children Lula and Ren Heinle of Cherry Hill; his sister, Joyce Trusewich of Garfield and her two children, Susan Burns of Clifton with her 5 children, and William Trusewich of Auckland, NZ with his wife and four children; brothe,r Michael Sferruzzo of Garfield; and his two dogs Lola and Tony.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 18, 2014 from 1:00-4:00 at the M. William Murphy Funeral Home 935 Parkway Ave. Ewing, NJ 08618.
