Robert F. “Bob” Smith, Sr.
Robert F. “Bob” Smith, Sr., 81, of Hamilton passed away peacefully Monday.
Born in Trenton, he was a lifelong Trenton/Hamilton resident.
Bob was a maintenance mechanic for Congoleum before retiring in 1994 with over 37 years of service. He was also employed by First Student Bus Company retiring after 10 years.
Son of the late Miriam and William E. Smith, Sr., husband of the late Sheila A. Smith and brother of the late Ken, Lester and Charlotte, he is survived by 6 children, Robert F. (Brenda) Smith, Jr. of Bloomsburg, PA, Michael I. (Rhonda) Smith of Jacksonville, FL, Terese (Chris) Ingenbrandt of Yardville, William E. (Barbara) Smith of Trenton, Mariann L. (Douglas) McIntyre of Hamitlon and Sandra (James) Abbott of Trenton; 16 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; 5 brothers, James, William,Jr., Tom, John and Frank; 2 sisters, Norma and Betty; also, numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Monday from 9 until 11:30AM at the M. William Murphy Funeral Home, 1863 Hamilton Ave., Hamilton. Funeral service will begin at 11:30AM. Burial with military honors will be in Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Cemetery, Arneytown, NJ.
