Elizabeth Ann “Betty” Bresnen
Elizabeth Ann “Betty” Bresnen, 78, of Hamilton, passed away on Tuesday January 13, 2015 at Capital Health Regional Medical Center in Trenton.
Born in Trenton, Betty was a lifelong resident.
She was a homemaker, and a Pastoral Care Assistant at St. Francis Medical Center, where she retired after 20 years of service.
Betty was a graduate of Trenton High School and a member of Our Lady of Sorrow – St. Anthony’s Parish. She enjoyed gardening, the beach, and spending time with her family and grandchildren.
Daughter of the late Anthony and Katherine MacDonald Halitsky, wife of the late James Joseph Bresnen, and sister of the late Jane Murphy and Anthony Halitsky; she is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Elizabeth Ann and John E. Cifelli, Sr. of Robbinsville, and Mary M. and John E. Pellizzari of Montgomery, NJ; four grandchildren, John E. Cifelli, Jr., Dina Cifelli, Meaghan Pellizzari, and James Pellizzari; two sisters and one brother-in-law, Marion and John Mazuch of Virginia Beach, VA, and Bernadette Chianese of Bordentown; one sister-in-law, Pam Halitsky of Littleton, Colorado; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
Funeral will be held on Saturday at 8:15 am at the M. William Murphy Funeral Home 1863 Hamilton Ave. in Hamilton.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:30 am at St. Anthony’s Church, S. Olden Ave., Hamilton.
Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Cedar Lane, Hamilton.
Calling hours will be Friday evening from 6 – 9 PM at the funeral home.
