Millicent E. Flanagan
Millicent E. Flanagan, 100, of Hamilton, passed away peacefully on Monday January 19, 2015 at home, with her loving family by her side.
Born in Canonsburg, PA, and formerly of Mt. Vernon, NY, Millicent has been a resident of Hamilton for the past 63 years.
Millicent was a Kindergarten School Teacher for St. Anthony’s Grammar School, retiring in 1979 after 25 years.
She was a avid reader and New York Yankees fan.
Daughter of the late Michael P. and Susan E. Thompson Mullagh, wife of the late James J. Flanagan, and mother of the late Peggy Ann Flanagan, she is survived by two daughters and one son-in-law, Kathleen M. and Lawrence A. Frank of Plumsted, NJ, and Eileen E. Flanagan of Hamilton.
Friends may gather at the M. William Murphy Funeral Home 1863 Hamilton Ave. Hamilton on Friday at 9:30 a.m., followed by graveside services at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary’s Cemetery , 1200 Cedar Lane, Hamilton.
The family would like to take this time to thank the Holy Redeemer Hospice for their excellent care given to Millicent.
