George N. Ernst
George N. Ernst, 92, of Ewing passed away on Wednesday at his home.
Born in Utica, NY, he lived in Ewing.
Mr. Ernst retired from Taylor Pork Roll in Trenton after a 40 year career.
He was a graduate of Rider College and a US Army veteran of WWII serving in the 141st Anti-Aircraft Artillery Gun Battalion. Mr. Ernst was an avid bowler and bowled in many local leagues.
Son of the late F. George and Anna M. Oster Ernst, husband of the late M. Virginia and brother of the late Francis Ernst, he is survived by his daughter, Patricia A. Muschlitz of Milford, NJ; his son and daughter-in-law, Ronald G. and Mary T. Ernst of Newtown, PA; 5 grandchildren, Stephanie Muth-Malloy, Christine Flaccavento, Kyle Muschlitz, Sharon Ernst and Ronald J. Ernst; and 4 great grandchildren, Ellie, Rachael, Sophia and Franco; also nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Saturday from 9 until 10:15am at the M. William Murphy Funeral Home, 935 Parkway Ave., Ewing. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11am at Incarnation Church, Ewing. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Hamilton.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in his name may be made to Incarnation Church, 1545 Pennington Rd., Ewing, NJ 08618 or a charity of the donor’s choice.
