Viola Edwards, 87, of Ewing passed peacefully on Wednesday, February 25, 2015.
Born in Mavis Bank, St. Andrew, Jamaica West Indies, she immigrated to the United States in 1984.
Mrs. Edwards was a loving, mother, grandmother, sister and homemaker; a member of United Methodist Church, Ewing.
She is survived by seven children, Delris (Claire) Henry, Winston Hylton, Marcia Hylton, Donovan Hylton, Jennifer Legore, Donna Neill, and Hugh (Gary) Hylton; 38 grandchildren; 79 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; 1 brother, Victor Edwards; 2 sisters, Irene Brody and Pearl Stewart; also many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Friday, March 13 from 5 until 8pm at the M. William Murphy Funeral Home, 935 Parkway Ave., Ewing and Saturday at Trinity United Methodist Church, 1985 Pennington Rd., Ewing from 9 until 11AM. Funeral services will begin at 11AM.
The Family will gather on Friday, March 13 from 8:30pm until 12am at Hollowbrook Community Center 320 Hollowbrook Rd Ewing for a Traditional Homegoing Celebration (Nine Night) with Food and Refreshment.
Burial will be in the Dade South Memorial Cemetery, Miami, FL.
