Violet Lavdas
Violet Lavdas, 91, of Colts Neck passed away on Saturday at Bayshore Community Hospital, Holmdel.

Born in Bound Brook, she lived Hamilton before moving to Colts Neck 10 years ago.

Mrs. Lavdas was a bookkeeper for various companies throughout the Mercer County area.
She was a member of St. George Greek Orthodox Church; the Philoptocos Society; and the daughters of Penelope, where she was past president.

A seamstress, Mrs. Lavdas enjoyed sewing and dressmaking.

Daughter of the late Michael and Mary Galanos Bastas and wife of the late George Lavdas, she is survived by 2 daughters and a son-in-law, Mary Lou and Andrew Litos of Staten Island, NY, and Julia Lavdas of Colts Neck; 2 grandchildren, Nicole and George Litos; 1 brother, Peter Bastas of Panama City, FL, and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

The family will receive friends at St. George Greek Orthodox Church, 1200 Klockner Rd., Hamilton, NJ 08619 on Thursday from 10am until the Funeral Service at 12noon. Burial will follow in Princeton Memorial Cemetery, Robbinsville.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in her name may be made to St. George Greek Orthodox Church.
