Marjorie Van Sciver Moore
Marjorie Van Sciver Moore, the loving matriarch of her sprawling family died March 12th.
Born April 3, 1924, she belonged to the great generation for more than 90 years.
She was a resident of Pennswood Village, Newtown, PA. Before moving there, Mrs. Moore had lived in Trenton, Titusville and Lawrenceville, NJ and Palm Beach, Florida.
She was predeceased by her husband of 39 years, William James Moore M.D. A registered nurse, Mrs. Moore was a graduate of St. Francis Medical Center School of Nursing.
She is survived by two daughters, Mary Louise Koons of Palm Beach, Florida and Martha Moore Crowley and husband James F. Crowley of Greenwich, Connecticut. She was the adoring grandmother of Caroline Koons Forrest and husband Thomas Forrest, Kathleen Koons Peiffer and husband Scott Peiffer and Maura Louise Koons, all of West Palm Beach, FL and William James Moore Crowley and wife Ashley Rose Crowley, Farrell Moore Crowley and Marjorie Moore Crowley, of New York and Greenwich Connecticut. Additionally, seven great-grandchildren carry her lineage.
Marjorie was predeceased by parents J. Gilbert and Florence S. Van Sciver and by brothers J. Gilbert Van Sciver Jr., former Superior Court Judge of New Jersey, Dr. G. Robert Van Sciver and Dr. Richard J. Van Sciver and sister, M. Eloise Van Sciver, all of Moorestown, New Jersey.
An avid golfer, she was a member of the Trenton Country Club for over forty years, and a more recent member of the Nassau Club and the Present Day Club in Princeton, New Jersey.
A small private memorial is planned at a later date. In her memory, consider taking flowers to someone in need of cheer.
