John “Scotty” McCormack
John “Scotty” McCormack, 89, of Ewing, passed away on Thursday April 2, 2015 at Hamilton Continuing Care in Hamilton.
Born in Glasgow, Scotland, UK, Scotty immigrated to the greater Trenton area in 1959 and resided in Ewing.
He was owner/operator of McCormack Construction Company.
Scotty was a Trenton City socialite. He enjoyed Guiness; the Glasgow Celtics soccer team; stout; darts and stout!
Son of the late John and Mary McCormack, father of the late John and James McCormack, brother of the late Margaret, Mae, Grace, David and James McCormack, he is survived by his wife, Jackie Shargo McCormack; two daughters and sons-in-law, Diane and Mark, Vickie and Doug Sodomin; son, David Bohr; seven grandchildren Jackie, Mark, Madeline, Ryan, Luke, DJ, and Christian; brother and sister-in-law, Thomas and Janet McCormack; nieces and nephews, including Kelly Stewart and family.
The family will receive visitors Monday evening from 6 – 8 PM at the M. William Murphy Funeral Home 935 Parkway Ave. in Ewing. A funeral service will begin at 8pm.
