Frances G. Ruff
Frances G. Ruff, of Pennington passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 17, 2015 at the Francis E. Parker Memorial Home in Piscataway, New Jersey with her family by her side.
Frances G. Ruff, known as Sister, was born and raised in Morristown, New Jersey.
Frances was born to the late William J. & Frances G. Glancey. William J. Glancey, was the original charter member of the PGA and a golf pro at the Trenton and Spring Brook Country Clubs.
Frances who would have been 87 on September 7th, lived a full and wonderful life. Frances was a stay-at-home mother. She proudly raised four beautiful, successful children who in turn gave her eleven incredible and loving grandchildren. Family was her priority and her legacy. Outside of the home, Frances was known for her personality, which was bigger than life itself. Frances was the party and everyone whom she met loved her. She was funny, she was loving, she was caring and most of all, she was the real deal, genuine. Frances was an avid reader, always discussing and trading books with her daughters. She loved gardening, music, cooking and her Irish heritage. Frances was the consummate mother and homemaker who passed on her many talents to her children. Frances had a strong faith and belief in God which helped her in her final moments.
She will be missed but her memory will be in their hearts forever.
Frances G. Ruff was the beloved wife of the late Ronald G. Ruff whom she met and married in 1950.
Frances’ brother, William Glancey and sister, Virginia Mercer are deceased.
Frances’ survivors include her beloved son, James Ruff and his wife Yvette of West Milford, NJ; Her three married daughters, Susan Ruff Cronmiller and her husband Joseph of Gainesville, GA, Lorraine Ruff Cernuto and her husband Kenneth, of Neshanic Station, NJ and Kelly Ruff Lewis and her husband Andrew of Medford NJ. Her sister, Doris J. Rowe of Fairfield, CT and her Eleven Grandchildren James Ronald Ruff, Joseph Cronmiller, Matthew Cronmiller, Eric Cronmiller, Kenny Cernuto, Jr., Kevin Cernuto, Christina Cernuto, Kathryn Lewis, Andrew Lewis, Elizabeth Lewis, and Audrey Lewis.
The family will receive friends at St. James Church, 115 E. Delaware Ave, Pennington on Monday, June 29 from 10AM until the time of the Mass of Christian Burial at 11AM.
Interment of cremains will be private and at the convenience of the family.
Arrangements are under the direction of the M. William Murphy Funeral Home, 935 Parkway Ave., Ewing, NJ.
