John J. "Jack" Kelleher
John J. "Jack" Kelleher, age 71, died at home after a brief illness on September 21, 2015, surrounded by his loved ones. He will be dearly missed by his wife, Penny, and son, Matthew.
Son of the late William W. and Margaret Hamilton Kelleher, he was born January 11, 1944 in Bayonne, NJ. He was a graduate of Jersey City State College, with a degree in History and English. He loved playing the drums and had his own band in college. Jack was an army veteran, honorably serving his country from 1966 - 1968. He worked as a Member Relations Representative for AAA in New Jersey and Pennsylvania, most recently for AAA East Central.
Jack truly enjoyed his life. He loved classic movies, trivia, horseback riding and going on cruises. He was the kind of guy others gravitated towards because of his friendly, outgoing personality. He loved hearing and telling a good joke, and his laughter was contagious! Everyone loved Jack. He was a true Gentleman, of the old school variety. Everyone who was lucky enough to be Jack's friend will truly miss him.
He is survived by siblings William, Kathyrn, Margaret and Edward; sister-in-law Pat and Karl Levett; sisters- and brothers-in law Mary Lee & Bill Leszczuk and Joanie & Joseph Steniert; many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews, all of whom he loved wholeheartedly.
Private services were held at the convenience of the family under direction of Murphy's Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to one's charity of choice.
