Sophie Olownik, 90, of Ewing ,passed away on Saturday, September, 26, 2015 at home.
Born in Trenton, Sophie was a life long Trenton/Ewing resident.
She was the Plant Managers Secretary for General Motors Corp. in Ewing, where she retired after more than 40 years of service.
Sophie was a graduate of Trenton High School, an avid dog and cat lover, and she enjoyed trips to Atlantic City, and to her shore house in L.B.I.
Daughter of the late Joseph and Marianna Baranowski Olownik, and sister of the late Gladys J. Maure and Irene Aversano, she is suvived by a niece, Patricia Schuller and husband Richard of Janesville, Wisconsin; two nephews, David Maure of Yardville; Ronald Aversano and wife Rosemary of Robbinsville; several great nieces and great nephews, her dear friends, Jane Fitzpatrick of W. Trenton; Neil Fitzpatrick of Los Angeles, California; Pearse Fitzpatrick and wife Jane of Charleston, South Carolina; and her special friend and caregiver, Nancy Watrous of Ewing.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. at St. Hedwig’s Church, Brunswick Ave. in Trenton.
Burial will be in St. Hedwig’s Cemetery, Hamilton.
