Jessica M. Fitzpatrick
Jessica M. Fitzpatrick, 89, of Ewing passed away Friday at her home surrounded by her family.
Born in Long Island, NY, she was a Ewing resident for more than fifty years.
Mrs. Fitzpatrick was a graduate of St. Mary’s cathedral High School and Trenton State College where she earned her bachelor’s degree in education. She went on to teach in the Trenton School System for over 30 years before retiring in 1989.
Predeceased by her parents, Raymond A. and Jessica M. (Smart) McCormack; her husband, Richard J. Fitzpatrick, and her 5 brothers and sisters, she is survived by 3 daughters and a son-in-law, Jessica M. “Jodi” Fitzpatrick of Ewing, Rev. Nora A. Fitzpatrick of Ewing, and Meg and Nathan J. Leventhal of Yardley; 5 grandchildren, Macklin R. Fitzpatrick, Keira, Madigan, Rowan and Finnian Leventhal, and 38 nieces and nephews and their families.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, October 28 from 9 – 10:15am at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, 137 West Upper Ferry Road, West Trenton.
Her Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30AM.
Burial will follow in St. Hedwig’s Cemetery, Ewing.
Arrangements are under the direction of the M. William Murphy Funeral Home, 935 Parkway Ave., Ewing.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in her name may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
