Robert W. Cook, Jr.,
Robert W. Cook, Jr., 77, departed this world February 11, 2016.

Born in Trenton on July 4, 1938, he moved to Ewing after his marriage.

Bob was a 1956 graduate of Trenton Central High School and earned an Associate’s Degree from Trenton Junior College.

Bob retired after 40 years of service with the NJ Department of Transportation as a Project Manager, working with a wonderful group of people.

Bob enjoyed coaching soccer for the West End League, the Ewing American Baseball league, Ewing Girls soccer, and the Girls Revere Traveling Soccer Teams.

His favorite place to travel was Walt Disney World, where he vacationed 3 or 4 times a year. He also enjoyed spending time in Cape May in the spring and fall.

Son of the late Mary (Spisak) and Robert W. Cook, Sr.; father of the late, Tricia Elizabeth Cook Parziale; son-in-law of the late Anna (Kakabar) and Andrew J. Charnick, Sr.; brother-in-law of the late William Prettyman, Sr., Andrew J. Charnick, Jr., and Daulton H. Laire, he is survived by his wife of 55 years, Patricia (Charnick) Cook; 3 sons and daughters-in-law, Rob and Donna of Hamilton; Roger and Marguerite of Ewing, and Scott and Margaret of Jackson; 2 granddaughters, who were the sunshine of his life, Shawna Leigh of Ewing, and Melanie Elizabeth of Jackson; sister of Arlene Prettyman of FL; father-in-law of John J. Parziale, Jr.; brother-in-law of Dolores and Carl Montgomery of Toms River, and Fay Hann of Newtown, PA; and many nieces and nephews whom he loved dearly.

The family will receive friends on Monday from 6 9pm at the M. William Murphy Funeral Home, 935 Parkway Ave., Ewing and again on Tuesday at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, 137 W. Upper Ferry Road, W. Trenton, NJ from 9 9:45AM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday at 10AM. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Hamilton.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to either Our Lady of Good Counsel Church or the EASEL Animal Rescue League, 4 Jake Garzio Dr., Ewing, NJ 08618 or www.easelnj.org.
