Jamal Ameer Gordon
Jamal Ameer Gordon, 38, of Ewing, passed away on Saturday, April 30, 2016 at Deborah Heart and Lung Hospital, Browns Mills, NJ.
Born in Belleville, NJ, and he was raised in Newark and Jersey City, NJ where he resided most of his life. Jamal was also a resident of Hamilton before moving to Ewing in 2012.
He was a Mental Health Worker for Christ Hospital in Jersey City, NJ, Trinitas Hospital in Elizabeth, NJ, and most recently, for Serv Behavioral Health System in Cranford, NJ.
Jamal was a graduate of St. Anthony’s High School in Jersey City, NJ, class of 1996, where he was on the basketball and bowling teams. He enjoyed movies, paint ball excursions with friends, and being an event planner for family and friends.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory, a son, Jaiden A. Gordon of Bayonne, NJ; his mother, Elizabeth Gordon-Wilkinson of Ewing; his fathers, Howard Johnson, Henry Greene, and Gerald Wilkinson; his brothers and sisters, Mathias, Angelic, Cameesha, Jayson, Matthew, Ian, Dalys, and Jordan; his brother-in-law, Patrick; his nephews, Mathias, Jr., Leo, and Grant; and a host of family and friends.
Family will receive visitors on Saturday from 1:00 - 2:00 PM at the M. William Murphy Funeral Home 935 Parkway Ave. in Ewing. Services will begin at 2:00 PM.
