Donald M. Slabicki
Donald M. Slabicki, 82, of Columbus, NJ, passed away on Tuesday, May 17, 2016 at Good Samaritan Hospice at Virtua Hospital in Mt. Holly, NJ.

Born in Hamilton, Donald was a life long Hamilton resident before moving to Columbus in 2002.

Donald served in the US Army from 1956-1958, and the US Army Reserve until his Honorable Discharge in October of 1962.

He worked for Atlantic Products, P. Liedtka Trucking Co., and Forconi Foods.
Donald was a member of St. Mary’s Church, Bordentown, and a former parishioner of St. Anthony’s Church in Trenton for 45 years , as well as a member of the Holy Name Society, and an associate member of Colonial Volunteer Fire Company.

Son of the late Marcin and Agata Lip Slabicki, and brother of the late Marie Werkman, Carl Slabicki, Alberta St. John, Blanche Tobiasz, Dolores Croke, and M. Kenneth Slabicki. He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Mary “Mae” Fox Slabicki of Columbus; his daughter, Mary M. Forconi and husband Eugene T. Forconi of Hamilton; his two sons, Donald E. Slabicki and wife Deborah Painter-Slabicki of West Trenton, Michael R. Slabicki and husband Raymond T. Shanley of Pompano Beach, FL; his two grandsons, Evan J. Slabicki and Nicholas M. Forconi; his sister, Helen Hess of Redondo Beach, CA; his two sisters-in-law, Linda Slabicki of Harrisburg, PA, and Cheryl Wellence of West Palm Beach, FL; his brother-in-law, Robert Fox and wife Linda Shuster Fox of Ringoes, NJ; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.

Calling hours will be Friday morning from 9:00 10:30 AM at the M. William Murphy Funeral Home 1863 Hamilton Ave., Hamilton.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday 11:00 AM at St. Anthony’s Roman Catholic Church S. Olden Ave. in Hamilton.

Entombment will take place at St. Mary’s Mausoleum, Cedar Lane, Hamilton.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Visiting Nurse Association of Central New Jersey Home Care and Hospice 176 Riverside Ave., Red Bank, NJ 07701.
