Margaret M. (nee Franey) Carvale
Margaret M. (nee Franey) Carvale, 103, of Hamilton, entered into God’s care on Tuesday, June 28, 2016 at Arcadia Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Hamilton with her loving family by her side.
Born in Trenton, Peg was a life long Hamilton Square resident.
She retired from General Motors in Ewing in 1973 after 25 years of service, and belonged to the U.A.W. Retirees Local #731. Peg was a member of St. Gregory the Great Church, its Seniors Club, a Chartered member of the Altar Rosary Society, the Four Seasons Senior Club of Hamilton, and Mt. Carmel Guild.
Daughter of the late John and Mary McLoughlin Franey, wife of the late Frank J. "Carney" Carvale, mother of the late Irene M. Carvale Clarici, sister of the late John J. (Ethel) Franey, Ellen (Frank) Griggs, and Sister Mary Franey, R.S.M., she is survived by a sister, Sister Shaun Franey, R.S.M. of Mount St. Mary’s of Watchung, NJ; a son-in-law, Gene Clarici, Sr. and wife Bernadette of Bordentown; her three grandchildren, Catherine M. Seaman and husband William of Jobstown, NJ, Gene Clarici, Jr. and wife Sharon of Yardville, and Meg Clarici - Leone and Jeff Wilbur of Mercerville; her four great grandchildren, Jennifer and Danny Clarici, Marcus and Kalena Seaman; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday at 10:00 AM at St. Gregory the Great Church 4620 Nottingham Way Hamilton Square, NJ 08690.
Burial will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Cedar Lane in Hamilton.
Calling hours will be Tuesday morning from 9:00 AM until time of mass at the church.
There will be no calling hours at the funeral home.
Memorial Contributions may be made in Peg’s memory to Sisters of Mercy of NJ 1645 US Highway 22 Watchung, NJ 07069 or to St. Gregory the Great Church.
Arrangements are by the M. William Murphy Funeral Home 1863 Hamilton Ave. in Hamilton.
At this time the family would like to thank the nurses, staff, and aides at Arcadia Nursing and Rehabilitation Center for their care and attention given to Peg during her stay, especialy Mary, Jay, Colleen, Tracey, Linda, Patty, Luke, and most importantly, Susan Benemile for her loving care given to Peg.
