Robert G. Carroll
Robert G. Carroll, 85, of Columbus, passed away on Saturday, July 9, 2016 at home, with his loving family by his side.

Born in Trenton, and formerly of Bordentown where he spent much of his life, Robert has resided in Columbus for the past 5 years.

He worked for Bell Telephone Company where he retired in 1985 after 30 years of service.

Robert was a graduate of Trenton Catholic High School, class of 1949, and a former member of St. Mary’s Church in Bordentown. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Son of the late Charles H. and Martha L. (nee Errickson) Carroll, grandfather of the late Paul and Justin Gromlich, Jason Pearson, Bobby Carroll, Jr., John Andrew and Corey Fokides, father-in-law of the late George Pearson, and brother of the late William Carroll, he is survived by his wife, Patricia Ann (nee Danehower) Carroll of Columbus; six daughters and five sons-in-law, Marty (Rich) Gromlich, Pattie Pearson, Debbie (Bob) Prichard, Judy (Bob) Swem, Lynn (Jack) Nucera, and Joyce (Bob) Kuc; two sons and one daughter-in-law, Bobby Carroll, and Tom (Sharon) Carroll. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren, Chris, Jackie, Billy, Brian, Jenny, Joshua, Steve, Tara, Erin, Joe, Heather, Karyn, Matt, Nick and Melanie; also by 20 great grandchildren, Savanna, CJ, Justin Jr., Dakota, Megan, Avery, Kayla, Elizabeth, Emily, Brianna, Haley, Russell, Bobby, Grace, Conor, Noah, Joanna, Tallon, Avery and Grayson; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday 12 noon at the M. William Murphy Funeral Home 1863 Hamilton Ave. in Hamilton.

Burial will follow at Bordentown Cemetery.

Calling hours will be Wednesday morning from 10:30 AM until time of services at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Robert’s memory to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital P.O. Box 1000 Dept. 142 Memphis, TN 38148.
