Rose P. Plavchak

Rose P. Plavchak, 92, of Hamilton

On Saturday, July 30, 2016, Rose P. Plavchak passed away peacefully. She was born in Trenton, NJ, and lived in Trenton and Hamilton Twp. for 83 years, and 9 years as a resident of Lttle Egg Harbor, NJ.

Mrs. Plavchak worked alongside her beloved late husband Edward for 32 years in their family owned business, Capital Awning & Canvas Company. She was a loving wife, devoted mother, doting grandmother, skilled seamstress, and avid baker.

She was the daughter of Antonio and Maddalena Persichetti, and sister of the late Mary DiMemmo, Domenic, Nicholas, Joseph, Louis, James, and Doris Persichetti. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Edward and Earlene Plavchak; her daughter and son-in-law, Doris and Anthony DeBiasi; and her three grandchildren Alison, Nicholas, and Daniel.

She is also survived by her sister-in-law, Rose Persichetti, her nieces and nephews, Joseph, and Pat DiMemmo, John and Babs DiMemmo, Sue DiMemmo, Maddalena and Alfred Lanzoni, Sandra Persichetti, Richard and Joann Persichetti, Grace Persichetti, Anthony, and Joan Persichetti, Joseph and Maryanne Persichetti, June and Paul Bilardo, Louis Persichetti, and Doris and Ken Bower; and many great nieces and great nephews.

Calling hours will be Thursday morning from 9:00 AM 10:30 AM at the M. William Murphy Funeral Home 1863 Hamilton Ave., Hamilton.

Office of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday at 11:00 AM at St. Mary of the Assumption Byzantine Catholic Church with Fr. Edward Higgins as Celebrant.

Burial will follow at St. Mary’s Byzantine Cemetery #3 in Hamilton.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Rose’s memory to St. Mary of the Assumption Byzantine Catholic Church 411 Adeline St. Trenton, NJ 08611 or to the charity of your choice.
