Eugene J. “Johnny” Constance, Jr.
Eugene J. “Johnny” Constance, Jr., 82, of Ewing, passed away on Wednesday, December 28, 2016 at home.
Born in Trenton, Johnny was a lifelong area resident, and a veteran of the United States Army.
Director of the Speech and Hearing Clinic at Trenton State College for over 25 years he was manager/Speech Pathologist for E.J. Constance & Associates. He loved golf and bowling. He was a member of the School Persons Bowling League for more than 25 years.
Johnny was a well-known actor in local theater, including The Bucks County Playhouse and Trenton’s Theater-in-the-Park. He performed in a number of vocal groups, including The Mercer County Chorus, The Royal-Aires quartet, and “Andy, Pat & Johnny.”
Son of the late Dolores (Capple) and Eugene J. Constance, Sr., he is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Patricia M. Notarian Constance; two daughters, Danielle and her husband John Pietrowski, and Nicole Constance-Laflin, her husband Larry Laflin and Larry's son, Jake; a son and daughter-in-law, Christopher L. and Virginia Constance, Virgina’s son and daughter-in-law, Jason and Becky Machusak; two grandchildren, Kara Codd and Mckenna Garzio and her husband Matthew; two great grandchildren, Dylan and Hailey Garzio, his lifelong best friend, Roger VanSant; his dedicated caregiver, Marian Boamah; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
Funeral services were private and at the convenience of the family. As he requested, a celebration of his life will be held at a future date.
Arrangements were by the M. William Murphy Funeral Home 935 Parkway Ave. in Ewing.
