Charlotte “Tootie” Edna Wertz
Charlotte “Tootie” Edna Wertz, 75, of Hamilton, passed away on Friday, January 6, 2017 at Capital Health Regional Medical Center – Fuld.
Born in Hightstown, NJ, Tootie lived in Trenton, and for the past 37 years in Hamilton.
She owned and operated Wertz’s Corner Bar in Trenton until 1983, then worked for Stanley Hardware and Plumbing for many years, retiring from Carter Wallace in 2003. She then worked for Allentown Cage for several years.
Tootie loved spending time with her grandchildren, family and friends. She also loved her four legged grandkids, especially Casanova, her “Baby” Chihuahua.
Daughter of the late Elmer and Hazel Morton Breese, and sister of the late Elmer “Sunny” Breese, Leroy Breese, Lois Peterson, and Rae Breese, she is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Ronald F. and Anita Wertz of Hamilton; her two granddaughters, Amber M. Colangelo and husband William M. Colangelo, Jr., and Ashley A. Wertz; her sister, Marie F. MacFarland; her two nieces, Elizabeth Basler and husband John, and Sandra L. Litzinger; her nephew, Roger Holmes and wife Karen; and several great nieces, great nephews, and close friends.
Calling hours will be Wednesday from 5 – 7 PM at the M. William Murphy Funeral Home 1863 Hamilton Ave. in Hamilton.
Services will begin on Wednesday at the funeral home at 7:00 PM.
Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
